London College of Fashion showcased the 26 collections of their best BA fashion students on the 19th June, and photographs of the clothes from the show makes it clear that these up and coming designers are ones to watch.
Ribbons, tassels, billowing skirts and a multitude of colour were just some of the delights seen on the catwalk, and the winners of the overall best collection,
Victoria Smith for womenswear and
Hae-Na Kim for textiles, incorporated these well into their designs.

One of the collections that really caught my eye was that of
Lucia Kelly, whose metallic and mermaid-like pieces sparkled all the way down the catwalk.

The winning collection for best use of colour and textiles was also a stand-out in my eyes. Created by
Sofia Ilmonen,
Jinhee Moon (both womenswear) and
Mengna Ye (millinery) it showcased a huge variety of different fabrics, textures and layers to create intricate pieces which moved beautifully down the catwalk.

And finally, possibly my favourite of all the collections was that of
Marta Cesaro, whose incredible, wide-brimmed hats stole the show for me. Balanced out with long skirts and wide-legged trouser suits in a muted, almost-monochrome colour palette this is definitely a designer to watch.
