Recently I heard that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has teamed up with the East London clothing label Black Score to create a range of t-shirts and sweatshirts with hand-drawn prints depicting animals saying no to being used for fur, meat and testing and I think they're great! The prints are humorous yet still have a very strong message behind them and the graphics used are clean yet a little bit more interesting and unique.
Black Score's designer Simeon Farrar has said about the project; "Black Score is often raising the middle finger for the animal kingdom, so to do it in support of a charity like PETA is a true honour." and I think this honour really comes through in the designs. The t-shirts retail at £30 and the sweatshirts at £60, which is definitely a little more than I would usually be willing to pay, however proceeds from every sale go towards PETA so for an item of meaningful clothing as well as a charity donation to a good cause - it's not a bad price. There are 10 items in the collection but I've picked out my 5 favourites.
Your Killer Look Sweatshirt £60 |
